The Finale:My Last Blog for the First Semester of ELA 2

Semester one of the tenth grade was interesting, fun, and difficult. I thought I would struggle socialising but I made a lot of good friends—most coming from this class. I thought this class would be difficult especially after hearing that we needed to write a story and read it in front of everybody.

I expected this semester to start really rocky but I knew that I would end up loving language arts because I have loved this subject for the past few years, but when I walked into the room, I wondered why there aren’t many books in the class I was in, turns out I walked into the wrong classroom. So, I picked up my things and went to the right classroom, and it was different. We had to solve this puzzle and that made my brain hurt because we still all had vacation in our minds. The class went by and I thought to myself,

“Wow, this class is taking a long time.”

I didn’t know about block schedule but luckily, Jasmine explained it to me and after that, I started my journey to my chemistry class.

This class is fun, my teacher always found a way to incorporate games and interesting stories into our lessons—which I don’t mind at all. We had to play this yarn game and let me tell you, that was frustrating. I wanted to just go to the middle of the circle and make sure that the strings were held taut. There was also a time where we had to go outside to take a class selfie and one of the most fun occurrences was the Thanksgiving potluck, we played uno, ate a lot, made TikToks, and ate some more.

Through all the fun that we have in this class, we also have to take things seriously and sometimes it wasn’t easy. Hearing about the story writing made me worried as I am not the most creative and expressive person when it comes to writing. The writing project was I think our biggest assignment/project. It stresses me out a lot because we had to complete each draft and the windows for each due date wasn’t big enough. Creating a title was the most difficult but at least I was capable of thinking of one. After all that, I ended up having an amazing grade; it was worth it.
